Founded in Namibia in 2021 by Paul and Kerstin Brehem, Black Thorn Films combines a unique blend of expertise in wildlife conservation, tourism, and film production. With five years of experience in wildlife conservation management and over 30 years assisting camera crews across Africa, Paul brings invaluable knowledge to the team. Kerstin adds 28 years of experience in the tourism industry, from the Swiss Alps to Hawaii and San Francisco to the Okavango Delta, making them the perfect duo.

Our clients include the BBC, National Geographic, Silverback, Wildstar, Offspring, Nutopia, OSF, Plimsoll, Talesmith, and many others.

We offer services including scientific and location advice, securing access permits and work visas. Whether setting up tented safari camps with exceptional catering or booking accommodations at hotels and lodges, we tailor our support to meet your production needs.

Our highly skilled team includes camera car drivers, field assistants, cooks, and camp staff. We also provide four-wheel-drive vehicles and specialized rigging for unique camera mounts to ensure your shoot runs seamlessly.
